 Land Surveying All projects involve planning, calculations and generating plans. In order to utilize this information, we need a way to transfer this knowledge from a piece of paper to the outside world. This is where surveying becomes essential. Lewis, Yockey & Brown strives to provide precise, dependable measurements on each survey and construction site. We understand that our daily lives are affected by the projects which surround us. Every road traveled, building entered and home built depends on information provided by survey crews. Lewis, Yockey & Brown uses state-of-the-art equipment and computer programs to assist in producing quality surveys and construction plans. We acquire data in the field by using our Topcon HiPer+ RTK GPS systems which allow us to quickly transfer data directly to a coordinate geometry computer program to be utilized for generating plans and surveys. Lewis, Yockey & Brown has the ability to use their measurements to verify existing building dimensions, locations and produce “As Built” construction plans. This information can be used to determine how precise a building has been constructed to aid in remodeling or expanding the structure. In addition, surveying information can be used to verify storm water detention, sewer capacities, etc. Our professional land surveyors are committed to providing quality information for each of our clients. In order to continue to uphold our commitments of quality to our clients, each land surveyor annually attends the Illinois Professional Land Surveyors Association Conference. This provides an opportunity for our surveyors to network and learn about new products and technology. Lewis, Yockey & Brown’s survey department has provided services to private developers, corporations, universities, municipalities, county highway departments and state agencies including numerous regions of the Illinois Department of Transportation. In addition, our crews and office staff are familiar with the industry standards necessary for the various types of surveys.
