 Storm Water Managment In recent years, storm water management issues have come to the forefront of land development and construction ventures. Drainage analysis, water quality issues and erosion control practices are critical elements of all construction projects. Lewis, Yockey and Brown, Inc. can assist in all aspects of these issues. LYB provides a wide range of drainage expertise and can assist you with the planning and design of your storm sewer collection systems, storm water pumping stations, detention facilities, dams & lakes, hydraulic analyses of floodplains, roadway culverts, infiltration basins, biofiltration areas, and erosion and sedimentation control. LYB can also assist you in the permit approval process from local, state and national regulatory agencies. LYB can plan and design a storm water system for commercial sites, residential and business subdivisions, or municipal facilities. LYB can also design roadway culverts and small-span bridges. We can provide design calculations and aid in the acquisition of IDOT permits as well as state and national floodplain or floodway construction permits. LYB uses computer models for the analysis and design of detention basins and other storm water structures and can model the water surface through your site, subdivision or municipality to determine the impact of proposed projects on the potential for downstream flooding. Water quality control can also be accomplished through LYB designs. LYB can plan and design drainage systems that filter or clean the storm water through the use of rain gardens, sedimentation basins, infiltration basins, and bioretention facilities. Erosion and Sedimentation control can be handled with the design of Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) and various other water quality control processes. LYB’s analysis of your site may be used as justification for reductions in municipal detention/drainage fees, or LYB can help you set up fee structures for your municipal storm water control systems.
