Municipalities

Lewis, Yockey & Brown, Inc. understands that you take pride in your City, Town or Village. We also understand the importance and challenge of keeping existing streets, sidewalks, water mains, water towers, sewers, and treatment plants operating effectively. Growth goes hand in hand with each of these aforementioned elements, and LYB can help coordinate growth with your existing facilities. It is our goal to provide services which provide improved quality of life to each municipality.

One of the most important tasks of any city council or board of trustees is to establish a street maintenance program. LYB has been helping municipalities prepare a strategic street maintenance plan, assemble Motor Fuel Tax Programs, prepare construction plans and specifications and provide construction inspection services to many satisfied municipalities during the last twenty-four years.

Modeling existing water mains, sanitary sewers and storm sewers can aide in evaluating existing systems for effectiveness and projecting growth areas. LYB has successfully aided several municipalities using this technique. In addition, we can produce a detailed analysis for each of these systems and present options for future development. These analysis tools can be useful for presentations to the public, local school district, city council or board of trustees and granting agencies. This information can also be used to generate city wide utility maps.

Most projects require surveying, the preparation of construction plans with specifications, application of various permits and bidding the project. Some may even require grant proposals. In addition to these services, we can provide construction observation services which include assuring contractor conformance with the contract documents, review of shop drawings and change orders and processing pay requests.

Lewis, Yockey & Brown, Inc. would like to be an instrumental part in improving the quality of life in your hometown.
