Environmental

Lewis, Yockey & Brown, Inc. initially entered the environmental services field in early 1990, building on our experience in such traditional environmental engineering projects as wastewater treatment. We expanded our services to include site related environmental consulting; assisting clients in meeting the latest federal and state mandated compliance objectives. Since this beginning, a growing client list and the addition of uniquely qualified personnel have made LYB one of the leading environmental services firms in central Illinois.

LYB offers a full range of environmental services, including Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) in compliance with the All Appropriate Inquiries standard, leaking underground storage tank (LUST) investigation and corrective action, environmental risk assessment, groundwater investigation, site remediation, landfill closure, and Brownfields redevelopment. Project tasks are closely coordinated with the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency technical review personnel within the applicable regulatory program. LYB also offers assistance with both RCRA permitting and the Illinois LUST Reimbursement Fund, providing the expertise to guide both individual and corporate clients through the complicated and volatile maze of state and federal environmental regulations.

The Phase II regulations under the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) program were published in 1999. Beginning in 2003, construction sites that disturb more than one acre were also required to be in compliance. Since this inception, LYB has provided expert assistance to owners and contractors in the development of required Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans. We are also capable of providing the inspection and reporting necessitated under the program. As storm water management and erosional control practices come to the forefront, LYB is prepared to provide the expertise required for both water quantity and water quality management.

This strong foundation allows us to provide investigative, remedial, and management services for a broad range of environmental projects.
